Ensuring 'buy-in' from the key stakeholders

The ‘Direct’ stage ensures the engagement of key internal stakeholders. Whilst leading stakeholders close to the strategy will have been involved in the Define stage, the Direct stage goes further to envision and direct all the people without whom the strategy will fail. The impact of any technology changes on the way people work will be explored, and new systems or expectations agreed. This stage is an essential – yet often underestimated – component of successful engagement strategies.
