Our methodology is built on a principle that strategy development should be based on real, measured data and that a strategy’s outcomes should be continually measured to bring ongoing improvements.
The 7D methodology may be applied at any stage and will bring continual improvements within the first process cycle. The methodology is illustrated below.
Discover insights

Determine response
Information discovered through the ‘Discover’ stage will provide a basis for decisions about immediate or future strategy refinement. The ‘Determine’ stage is where this information is turned into meaningful insights that shape future engagement, making it truly interactive.
Define your strategy
‘Define’ is about defining the strategy. In the first instance, there may or may not exist insights and analysis of past or current activities to help inform the strategy definition.
Direct stakeholders
The ‘Direct’ stage ensures the engagement of key internal stakeholders. Whilst leading stakeholders close to the strategy will have been involved in the Define stage, the Direct stage goes further to envision and direct all the people without whom the strategy will fail.
Design the experience
Having defined the strategy and directed stakeholders, the Design stage is where the implementation starts. A solution is designed in terms of its required outcomes in line with the defined strategy
Develop the solution
Visual and technical interfaces and systems are produced in the ‘Develop’ stage. The clear definition of requirements achieved through the Define, Direct and Design stages ensures cost-effective, well-managed development process.
Deploy components
At the ‘Deploy’ stage, the designed and developed components are deployed in order to provide a platform for interaction. Final testing of technology and measurement systems will take place to ensure that the platform or solution deployed is successful.
