One of Pfizer’s experts on digital engagement, it is not surprising that Andrew Widger was recently promoted to Associate Director of Communications, UK & Europe with Europe-wide responsibility for the company’s Urology brands.

Earlier this year, Andrew launched the UK’s first pharma-led counterfeit medicines consumer awareness campaign, and commissioned user behaviour research that informed the campaign’s successful digital engagement strategy.

Andrew says that his new role reflects the international breadth of Pfizer’s brand strategies. “It’s no longer simply about country-specific campaigns”, says Andrew. “The Internet has broken down the walls between territories and we need strategies that embrace today’s international communications platforms.”
